Cross Keys Poetry Society Has a New Name

The Cross Keys Poetry Society has changed its name to the Cross Keys Artists and Writers Guild. We are branching out to include art, flash fiction, short stories, prose and other forms of writing, as well as poetry. We will continue to meet twice a month. Please join us the first and third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Our next meeting will be November 3rd. Feel free to bring something you’ve written to share with the group. We will also be discussing the possibility of running a creativity workshop as part of our group. Details at our next meeting. Hope to see you there!

Youth Mini-Review: House of Hades by Rick Riordan

House of HadesThe House of Hades By: Rick Riordan

“This is a book full of people being scared but yet brave and heroic.  If you like these things, you should read this book.”

Write your own Mini-Review! Whether new, or not-so-new, tell us what you thought of the book, in 200 words or less, even just a sentence or three. Loved it? Hated it? Would you recommend it? Why? We’ll post your review here on the library’s blog and you can share it wherever you’d like.
