November 12th from 2-4pm: Children of all ages are welcome to stop by the library for a make a take Pumpkin Craft. (While you are here, children will be asked at also make a snowflake to be used on our Christmas tree for Selinsgrove Tree Fest.)
November 15th from 6-8pm: Adults are invited to sign-up for a Christmas themed Cross-Stitch class with our Director, Jeff. This project will be provided free of charge, but seating is limited, so please sign-up in advance.
November 29th from 6:30-8pm: Inspired Designs by Keith Phelps will be back at the library. This time Keith will be teaching us how to make a Christmas swag from permanent flowers. Cost for the class is $25 and seating is limited. Payment is required to hold your spot, so stop by the library today to sign-up.
December 3rd from 7am-6pm: Holiday Treat Bus Trip – Ages 8 and Up – Start the holiday season with a performance of The Nutcracker Ballet. Through a generous donation from the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts, we are offering a FREE trip to Harrisburg to see the Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s Annual Holiday Performance. All costs for the day long adventure will be included. We ask that you CALL the library to sign up. Seats are limited.
December 7th from 6-8pm: Come in your PJ’s to jump on our version of The Polar Express. We will try to re-create the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of riding this holiday train. We won’t leave the library but we hope this will get you in the holiday spirit that we enjoy sharing with the community every year!
December 10th from 10am-3pm: Nifty Gifites is back! Kids can come and make special holiday gifts for family members! We are asking that you call the library to sign up so we can have enough supplies!
December 31st from 10am-noon: Countdown to Noon – It’s our Fourth YEAR to usher in another NEW YEAR! Come to the event that makes it easy to get the new year started. This festival is for anyone who wants to celebrate 2017 at NOON. Venues will be all around Priestley Forsyth Memorial Library, the Masonic Hall, the Christ United Methodist Church, and of course King Street Park! Leading up to the excitement of the Oxygen Isotope drop – fun family friendly activities! If you haven’t done it yet, do it in 2016, Northumberland is the PLACE to be!
