ALL about books

Books and reading are the foundation of our library.  We hope this page helps you select new (and classic) books to read.

book clubs and reader's advisories:

Join our Dear Reader Book Clubs. Each day we'll email you a 5-minute portion of a book. During the week you can read 2-3 chapters and decide if you want to check the book out of the library. Every Monday we start new books. Sign up and start reading.  Clubs include:  Fiction, Business, Science Fiction, Audio, Nonfiction, Romance, Mystery, Pre-Publication, Teen and Good News.

Try our NEXT Reads, a new service provided by the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Libraries.  These are monthly newsletters suggesting books you might like to read in the following categories:  Arm Chair Travel, Biographies and Memoirs, Do-It-Yourself, Fiction A - Z, History and Current Events, Inspirational Fiction, Mystery, Popular Culture, Science Fiction, Teen Scene, Audiobooks, Business and Marketing, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Horror, Mind and Body Fitness, Nature and Science, Romance, Spirituality and Religion, and Thrillers and Suspense.

NoveList is an Access PA database that provides all sorts of information about fiction.  If you have a favorite author or title, it will recommend other books you might be interested in.  To logon, enter our Public Library Code PL3142 and the last 7 digits of your Priestley-Forsyth Library Card.
